    About the Event


    The goal of the Computer Science Community Showcase is to inform, inspire, and empower the next generation to pursue Computer Science as a tool to uplift communities and tackle global challenges.


    Join us for a half-day of celebrating Computer Science as a community:
    • Interact with professional coders like tech industry professionals, college professors, and college and high school students who are using Computer Science to create a positive impact in their communities and the world. 
    • Dive into the world of code through workshops for hands-on learning!
    • Build community with peers and mentors who are passionate about making a difference in the world through Computer Science.

    Submit Projects For the Showcase!

    The Computer Science Community Showcase will be featuring the amazing work of the community - and that includes you! We are looking for individuals and teams who have worked on projects about or using Computer Science who are interested in sharing or presenting their projects during the event.

    Projects can be in any stage any format as long as they are about or relate to Computer Science.

    Whether you are just beginning to explore Computer Science or have been programming for years, the Computer Science Community Showcase has a session for everyone. Everyone is welcome to join for as few or as many sessions as they like.

    Throughout the day, you’ll also have the chance to win awesome prizes (VR headsets, swag, and more) and we'll end the day with an exciting virtual hangout where you can meet students and faculty in an intimate, casual setting.

    The Computer Science Community Showcase is hosted by Make School, a college in San Francisco offering an accredited, project-based Bachelor’s degree program in Applied Computer Science. Students can complete the degree in 2-3 years. The average starting salary of graduates is $100,000 and they’ve been hired by Google, Facebook, Apple, NASA, IDEO, Twitch, and many other top tech companies.

    Attendance details will be emailed to registrants before the event. Sessions will be held on platforms like:

    Most sessions will be recorded and available for viewing after the event as well. Even if you can't attend the day of the event, we invite you to register so that we can share the recordings to you afterwards.
